In continuation of my despatch No. 50 of the 12th April regarding the laque of Chinese denation- alization Certificates, I have the honour to enclose a copy of the circular letter which I am sending to thone british subjecta of Chinese race who have re- gistered at this Consulate-General, or renewed their registration, during the last two years.

So far, two annications for denationalization have been received and forwarded to the bureau for Foreign Affairs. There has not yet been time for a renly from that office, and it is as yet too early to learn to what extent Chinese British subjecta are likely to avail themselves of the donationaliza- tion facilities now offered.
